Definition
RAC: the committee (supervisor plus experts) that guides a PhD scholar's research and reviews progress through six-monthly presentations, as required by UGC regulations. Also called Doctoral Committee at some universities.

- Approval of synopsis and pre-submission
- Recommending continuation or cancellation of registration
