What a thesis review actually involves

A proper academic review is not proofreading. A reviewer reading your methodology chapter is asking whether the design can answer the research questions, whether the sampling is defensible, whether the analysis matches the data type, and whether the limitations you have acknowledged are the ones an examiner will actually raise.

You receive written feedback chapter by chapter: what is working, what an examiner is likely to challenge, where the argument does not carry, where claims outrun the evidence, and what specifically to change. Where a section is structurally wrong we explain why and what shape it should take — but you make the change, because you are the author.

For most scholars the useful moment is before submission to their supervisor, not after. A chapter that comes back with twenty comments costs weeks; the same chapter reviewed first usually comes back with three.

Chapter review, structural review or complete review?

Chapter review, from ₹3,999 per chapter, suits scholars working through a thesis sequentially who want each chapter tightened as it is finished. Most scholars start with their methodology or analysis chapter, because those attract the sharpest examiner questions.

Thesis structuring and review, from ₹5,999, suits scholars who have material but are unsure of the architecture — what belongs in which chapter, how the argument should build, what is missing entirely. It is far cheaper to fix at this stage than after 60,000 words are written.

Complete thesis review, from ₹19,999, is a full read of the finished draft against what examiners look for: coherence from research question to conclusion, methodological defensibility, evidence for every claim, and the internal consistency examiners test in a viva.

What thesis review is not

We do not rewrite theses, and no price on this page buys that. This matters for a practical reason as much as an ethical one: your viva examines whether the thesis is genuinely yours. A scholar defending text somebody else wrote is exposed in the first ten minutes, and universities treat it as academic misconduct.

We also do not offer artificial similarity reduction — the practice of paraphrasing text until a plagiarism checker stops flagging it. Where similarity is a problem we teach you to fix the underlying citation and paraphrasing practice, which is what actually resolves it.

What a thesis review includes

  • Written, section-by-section critique of the draft you submit
  • Assessment of argument, coherence and whether claims are evidenced
  • Methodological scrutiny — design, sampling, analysis and limitations
  • Structural feedback: what belongs where, what is missing, what is redundant
  • Flagging of the questions an examiner is most likely to raise
  • Guidance on academic style, clarity and consistency
  • Alignment against your university's prescribed format
  • A follow-up conversation to work through the feedback

What a thesis review does not include

  • Rewriting or ghostwriting any part of the thesis
  • Artificial similarity reduction or paraphrasing to defeat plagiarism checkers
  • Producing, altering or fabricating data or results
  • Any guarantee of supervisor approval, examiner approval or a submission date
  • Re-running your analysis from scratch — that is a separate analysis service

What affects the final price

Length and number of chapters
A three-chapter review and a full 250-page thesis are different pieces of work. Chapter review is priced per chapter for exactly this reason.
State of the draft
A well-developed draft needs sharpening. A draft still finding its argument needs structural work, which takes longer.
Depth of critique required
Some scholars want a pre-submission sanity check; others want the review an examiner would give. Both are legitimate, and they are priced differently.
Discipline and methodology
A mixed-methods thesis or one with heavy quantitative modelling needs a reviewer with that specific expertise.
Turnaround time
Standard turnaround is agreed upfront. A compressed deadline means reserving a senior mentor's time at short notice.

How the process works

  2. 2Scope and quoteWe confirm which review fits and the exact price in writing before anything starts.
  3. 3You send the draftIn whatever state it is in — reviews are more useful on honest drafts than polished ones.
  4. 4Written reviewSection-by-section feedback from a mentor with expertise in your area.
  5. 5Feedback sessionWe work through the comments together so you know exactly what to change and why.
  6. 6You reviseYou make every change yourself. That is what keeps the thesis, and the defence, genuinely yours.

Frequently asked

How much does PhD thesis review cost?

Chapter review starts from ₹3,999 per chapter, thesis structuring and review from ₹5,999, and a complete thesis review from ₹19,999. The final figure depends on length, discipline, the state of the draft and how deep a critique you want. The consultation that scopes it is free.

Is thesis review the same as proofreading?

No. Proofreading corrects language. A thesis review interrogates the research itself — whether the design answers the questions, whether the analysis fits the data, whether the argument holds and where an examiner will push back. Language feedback is included, but it is the least important part.

Will you rewrite my chapters?

No. We tell you what is wrong, why it is wrong and what shape the section should take. You make every change. That is what keeps the thesis genuinely yours and defensible in your viva.

How long does a thesis review take?

Turnaround is agreed upfront and depends on length and depth. A single chapter is considerably quicker than a complete thesis review; tell us your deadline on the free consultation and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.

Can you review only my methodology chapter?

Yes — chapter review is priced per chapter precisely so you can take just the chapter you are worried about. Methodology and analysis chapters are the two most commonly reviewed.

Will a review guarantee my thesis is approved?

No. Approval rests with your supervisor, your committee and your examiners. A thorough review makes you better prepared for their questions; it cannot and does not promise their decision.
