Data Analysis & Statistics
Analysis is where your data becomes findings — if you choose the right technique and interpret it correctly. This hub covers SPSS, AMOS, SmartPLS, R, Python and NVivo, and links the mentoring, tools and answers to help you analyse and defend your results.
Choosing an analysis method isn't about which software you know — it's about what your questions and data demand. Descriptive and inferential statistics, covariance-based or variance-based SEM, and qualitative coding each answer different kinds of questions, and using the wrong one is a common reason for rejection.
Just as important as running the analysis is interpreting it: reading effect sizes, model fit and significance correctly, and relating results back to your hypotheses and the literature. We mentor both — the technique and the interpretation you'll defend in your viva.
What this covers
Quantitative analysis
Descriptive and inferential statistics in SPSS, plus SEM in AMOS (CB-SEM) and SmartPLS (PLS-SEM), chosen to match your model and sample.
R & Python for research
Statistical computing, modelling and reproducible analysis when your study calls for more than point-and-click tools.
Qualitative analysis
Thematic and content analysis and coding in NVivo, turning interviews and documents into defensible themes.
Frequently asked
Which statistical tool should I use for my thesis?+
It depends on your questions and data. Use SPSS for standard tests, AMOS for covariance-based SEM with larger normal samples, SmartPLS for PLS-SEM with complex or smaller-sample models, and NVivo for qualitative coding.
Do you help interpret results, not just run them?+
Yes — interpretation is the point. We mentor you to read your output, effect sizes and model fit correctly and to defend what they mean, so the analysis is genuinely yours.
